Policy Briefs present concise, policy-oriented analyses of topical issues in European affairs, with the aim of bringing research findings to bear in a timely and direct fashion on public discussion of issues facing the public and decision-makers.

  • The Open Method of Coordination: A View from Slovenia
  • CETD collaborator Danica Hafner-Fink from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia has published an edited book entitled The Open Method of Coordination: A View from Slovenia, which examines Open Method of Co-ordination (OMC) practices as perceived and implemented in Slovenia. The book examines how the OMC operates in a practical setting where national policy actors are simultaneously involved in many  concurrent international and national policy cooperation processes. Through the lens of OMC, the volume also explores the degree to which Slovenia has been involved in the EU`s hard and soft policy-making. The Review of European and Russian Affairs is an online academic journal that publishes short articles by graduate students and young scholars (original essays, research articles, editorials, notes, book reviews). The publication includes topics that relate to the countries of the European Union, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus, and Eurasia. The journal is interdisciplinary and articles address politics, history, economics, law, sociology, international relations, and culture. The goal of the journal is to provide an accessible forum for research on these important issues, to promote high standards of research and scholarship, and to foster communication among young scholars through the publication of their work.
